Candor, the emotional and spiritual leader of the Mantamaji, was a force to be reckoned with, a man whose nobility and leadership were unparalleled. He met his true love Mariah during a mission to save her family from certain doom. She was so moved by his bravery and sacrifice that she pledged her eternal love to him. Together they forged a bond that would weather any storm, and Mariah bore him a son, Elijah.

But Candor sacrificed his own happiness to protect humanity from Sirach’s incoming attack: he put Mariah and Elijah into an eternal sleep with a spell that would awaken them only if Sirach survived the Great War.

Unbeknownst to Candor, the spell left them in a timeless slumber for 3,000 years, until Sirach was resurrected. They’ve been awakened in a future world they could not possibly comprehend.
